‘Hello Art’ studio workshops are designed to embrace Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles and foster neurodiverse engagement through a smorgasbord of visual art activities. With over 25 years of experience, Melbourne artist and educator Madeleine Stamer uses evidence-based teaching strategies to inspire young artists while supporting their unique learning needs.

Hello Art sessions are non prescriptive and allow students to explore their special interests and passion projects via ‘art play’.

Madeleine will support each child in a safe and inspiring studio setting focussing on developing fine motor skills, mental and physical engagement, hand & eye coordination, problem solving, creative expression and embracing creative flow.
This is more than an art class—it’s a space where creativity, inclusivity and individuality thrive!
Madeleine’s studio flows onto a peaceful and inspiring courtyard allowing bird chatter and fresh air to circulate the space.

Students are encouraged to switch off from their busy day at school and bliss out making art from the heart. With an emphasis on mindfulness, playfulness, creative flow and embracing the sensory wonder of multiple mediums. Each student will create a series of unique artworks celebrating process over product.

Essentially the program encourages students to create what their heart truly desires.

Students will have access to the following resources and materials each session:

-Sewing materials
-Sewing machine
-Construction with recycled materials
-Timber offcuts to hammer and screw into
-Hot glue guns
-Painting
-Drawing
-Handbuilding with clay (kiln facilities unavailable)
Plus more!

Students have supervised access to an internal kitchenette and bathroom.

*Please note that classes are non refundable.
If your child is unable to make a session there may be a possibility to attend a catch up lesson with the Tuesday Hello Art group. Please email Madeleine in advance.
Please bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated. Aprons supplied.
