ABOUT

Melbourne based creative Madeleine Stamer has had a long and extensive career as a ceramicist, commercial illustrator, exhibiting artist and art educator. Madeleine prefers traditional old school brush and ink techniques using watercolours and letting loose on large-scale paper, more often than not in the late hours of the night from her home studio in the burbs. Madeleine’s folk infused images display rich decorative line and bold pattern. Her designs comprise of gentle yet slightly surreal imagery that delivers an edgy punch.

Madeleine has worked on small to large scale projects for many varied clients and collaborators such as the AFL, Alannah & Madeline Foundation, Fasham Homes, The ANZ Bank, The Design Files, Gorman, Haymes Paint, Sportsgirl, Maddie Riewoldt Foundation, Third Drawer Down, The Meredith Music Festival, The Financial Review, The Readers Digest, The National Gallery of Victoria, The Women’s Weekly, The Blackeyed Susans, White Night Melbourne, Journey of Something, The Block, Walnut Shoes, Sukin and Lifeblood to name a few. Madeleine strangely prefers the winter months best and you will often find her staring at birds from her studio window or attempting to draw them…
